To establish a healthy sports system it is necessary
to understand the issues that sport clubs
face. Current study aims to put forward the issues of
amateur sport clubs. Study has exploratory characteristics.
Semi-structured interviews were conducted
to obtain the data. Gathered by using “typical case”
and “snowball” sampling methods the sample for
the study included 76 sport club managers. Content
analyses method is used for the data analyses. The
relations of club issues, which were identified by content
analyses, are created schematically through a
cloud software. Findings points out that there are financial,
organizational, legal, and managerial issues
in clubs as well as the issues related to the personnel,
facilities, and the equipment. Consequently, it is found
that the issues in clubs reproduce themselves in
a vicious cycle. Financial problems are at the base of
all problems. The most significant issue feeding this
problem is that the legislations cannot meet the needs.
