Aging Nursing and Workforce

In recent years, humanity has been experiencing an increasing demographic change and this change is also reflected in working life. With this change, more elderly nurses remain in the workforce. As the global nurse workforce ages, it is increasingly important to develop a comprehensive understanding of the experiences, needs and values unique to older nurses. In this review, changes in aging nurses as a result of physical and psychological processes and the dangers and risks that may arise from the working environment as a result of these changes are mentioned. In addition, based on the literature, measures are recommended to minimize the risks that may occur due to aging, accidents, injuries and occupational diseases and to increase awareness.

Yaşlanan Hemşirelik ve İş Gücü

Öz

Son yıllarda, insanlık artan bir demografik değişim yaşamakta ve bu değişim çalışma hayatına da yansımaktadır. Bu değişimle birlikte daha fazla sayıda yaşlı hemşire işgücünde kalmaktadır. Küresel hemşire iş gücü yaşlandıkça, daha yaşlı hemşirelere özgü deneyimler, ihtiyaçlar ve değerler hakkında kapsamlı bir anlayış geliştirmek giderek daha önemli hale gelmektedir. Bu derlemede, fiziksel ve psikolojik süreçlerin bir sonucu olarak yaşlanan hemşirelerde meydana gelen değişiklikleri ve bu değişimler sonucu çalışma ortamından kaynaklanabilecek tehlike ve risklere değinilmiştir. Ayıca, literatüre dayalı olarak, yaşlanmaya etkenine bağlı oluşabilecek riskleri, kaza, yaralanma ve meslek hastalıklarını en aza indirmek ve farkındalığı arttırmak için önlemler önerilmektedir.
