EFFECTS OF JOB SATISFACTION ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AND JOB PERFORMANCE: AN APPLICATION ON INSURANCE AGENT WORKERS

Öz

The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment and job performance. The secondary purpose of the study is to establish the relationship between organizational commitment and business performance. In this direction, a survey was conducted with staff of insurance agencies operating in Antalya. Questionnaires prepared online are sent to the employees via e-mail. A total of 483 questionnaires were returned.
The data were tested by means of SPSS and Lisrel. Analyzes have shown that job satisfaction is a significant predictor of organizational commitment and job performance. It has been observed that employees with high emotional attachment focus on job security, interpersonal relations, promotion. Employees with higher continuity and normative commitment are considered factors such as wages, working conditions, promotion, working conditions. It was determined that employees with higher emotional and continuing commitment had higher performance than those with normative commitment.

İŞ TATMİNİNİN ÖRGÜTSEL BAĞLILIK VE İŞ GÖREN PERFORMANSI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: SİGORTA ACENTESİ ÇALIŞANLARI ÜZERİNE BİR UYGULAMA

Öz

Bu çalışmanın ana amacı, iş tatmininin örgütsel bağlık düzeyi ve iş gören performansı üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. İkincil amaç ise örgütsel bağlılık ve iş performansı arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Bu doğrultuda Antalya’da faaliyet gösteren sigorta acenteleri iş görenleri ile anket uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Online olarak hazırlanan anket formları meslek odaları aracılığıyla mail yoluyla çalışanlara iletilmiştir. Veri toplama işlemine üç ay devam edilmiş ve toplamda 483 anket geri dönüşü sağlanmıştır.
Veriler SPSS ve Lisrel programları aracılığıyla test edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda iş tatmininin örgütsel bağlılık ve iş performansının anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğu görülmüştür. Duygusal bağlılığı yüksek olan iş görenlerin daha çok işin niteliği, iş güvenliği, bireyler arası ilişkiler ve terfi gibi unsurlara odaklandığı görülmüştür. Devam bağlılığı ve normatif bağlılığı yüksek olan iş görenler ise ücret, terfi ve çalışma koşulları gibi unsurları göz önüne almaktadır. Son olarak, duygusal ve devam bağlılığı yüksek olan iş görenlerin iş performansının, normatif bağlılık gösterenlere göre daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
