Öz

Günümüzün önemli bir sorunu olan temoporomandibular bozukluklar, çiğneme kaslarının, temoporomandibular eklem ve ilişkili yapıların bozuklukları, ya da her ikisini içeren klinik sorunlar gibi tanımlanır. Temporomandibular hastalıkların tedavisi yumuşak diyet, davranış değiştirme, ilaçlar (NSAİİ, kas gevşeticiler, antidepresanlar), interoklüzal splint, enjeksiyonlar (steroidler, botoks), fiziksel tedavi ve cerrahi yaklaşımlardan (artrosentez, artroskopi, açık eklem cerrahisi) oluşmaktadır. Bu yazıda, temporomandibular eklem ve ilişkili yapıların bozukluklarının tedavi seçeneklerini gözden geçirmek amaçlanmıştır.

THE TREATMENT CHOICES IN TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DISORDERS

Öz

Abstract
Temoporomandibular disorders, which is an important issue today are defined as clinical problems involving the masticatory musculature, the temoporomandibular joints and associated structures, or both. The treatment of temporomandibular disorders are involved soft diet, behavior modification, pharmacotherapy (NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, antidepressants), interocclusal splints, injections (steroids, botox), phisical therapy and surgical approachs (arthrocentesis, arthroscopy, open joint surgery). The aim of this paper was to review the treatment choices of temporomandibular joint and associated structures disorders.
