Meconiumperitonitis, perforation of the smallin testine of the fetus in utero with a sterile chemical reaction caused by the spread of meconiumin to the peritoneal cavity. The second and third trimester ultrasonograpic appearance, if you see hyperechoic areas and pseudo-cycst, you think that can be meconium peritonitis. The prevalence of live births in 3500 are 1. According to the sonographic appearance fibro adezivtype, genaralizetype, may be the formation of pseudocysts.Omentum and bowelloops make peritoneal cavity to prevent the escape of meconium outside. 29 weeks of follow-up routine fetal ultrasound was normal. Pregnant 32 week follow-up ultrasound feta lmeconium peritonitis are invited again to be seen with pseudo cystformation. As a result, the importance of this phenomenon prenatal ultrasonography and the birth of babies with meconium peritonitis, or suspected of, and are important for determining the appropriate method.
