Nutritional Status of Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) Trees Growing Prevalently in Bozova
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate macro and micro nutritient concentrations of pistachio
trees (Pistacia vera L.,) growing prevalently in Bozova of Şanlıurfa. According to the research results
N, P, K contents of pistachio leaves were in the range of 1,36-2,00; 0,02-0,41, and 0,90-1,95 %
respectively. Cu, Mn, Fe and Zn contents of leave samples ranged as 4,2-15,3; 14,3-43,5; 35,3-69,5
and 6,7-16,6 mg kg-1, respectively. The research results indicated that partial Fe and common N, Zn
and P deficiency were detected in pistachio leaves and in soil. It is concluded that in addition to
nitrogen, phosphorus, zinc fertilizers Fe fertilization must be applied in orchards. Fertilization trials
are need to further investigate to determine fertilization rate and source.
