Non-sendromik dudak-damak yarıklı hastalarda 2.premolar ve 3.molar agenezisi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı non-sendromik dudak-damak
yarıklı (DDY) hastalarda maksiller ve mandibular 2. premolar (2PM) ve 3. molar
(3M) agenezisinin prevalansını belirlemek ve agenezinin yarık bölgesi ile olan
ilişkisini saptamaktır.

Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu retrospektif çalışmada 2009-2018 tarihleri arasında Çukurova
Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’ne başvuran 201 DDY’li hastanın
radyografik verileri ve hasta kayıtları incelendi. Asgari yaş sınırı 12 olarak
belirlendi ve hastalar farklı yaşlarda alınan en az 2 Ortopantomograf ve konik
ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografi görüntüsünün olması ve herhangi bir
genetik/doğumsal sendromunun bulunmaması şartıyla çalışmaya dahil edildi.

Bulgular: 201 hastanın 85’i kadın, 116’sı erkekti. Hasta grubunda tek taraflı DDY
olan 139 hastanın 51’i sağ, 88’i sol tarafta yarık hattına sahipti. İki taraflı
DDY olan hasta sayısı 62 idi. Hastaların % 38.3’ünde 3M agenezisi, %32.3’ünde
2PM agenezisi saptandı. 109 hastada (% 54.2) en az bir diş eksikliği olduğu
görüldü. Tüm yarık tiplerinde maksillada (N=56), mandibuladan (N=6) veya her
iki çenede olduğundan (N=47) daha fazla eksik dişe rastlanmıştır (p < 0.05).

Sonuç: Elde ettiğimiz veriler DDY’li bireylerde 3M ve 2PM agenezisinin yaygın
olduğunu göstermektedir. DDY’nin lokalizasyonu ile etkilenen ve karşı çenedeki
eksik 2PM ve 3M arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamaktadır.
