LILACS, Web of Science ve Scopus
veritabanlarında  ‘dental trauma’, ‘fragment reattachment techniques’, fracture strength’,’ storage medium’,
‘laser etching’, ‘dentin-bonding agent’, ‘composite resin’ anahtar kelimeleri

Background: The purpose was to review the recent published literature on reattachment of anterior fractured teeth related to techniques, applications
and materials.

Methods: A search of the dental literature was made using the key words ‘dental
trauma’, ‘fragment reattachment
techniques’,
fracture strength’, ‘storage medium’, ‘laser etching’, ‘dentin-bonding agent’
and ‘composite resin’ on Pubmed, Google Scholar,
LILACS, Web of Science and Scopus. As a result of the
search, 314 articles related to the fragment reattachment
technique were reached. Included were published
papers on clinical studies and laboratory testing on fragment reattachment
techniques. Case series, reviews, abstracts and unpublished papers were not
included in the study. These publications were reviewed in detail by two
observers and the data were evaluated for current literature review.

Results: Thirty-seven papers fulfilled the inclusion criteria were evaluated (35
papers on laboratory trials, and 1 clinical trial and 1 paper both on clinical
and laboratuvary trial). Within the limits of the studies examined, when
fragment reattachment techniques was used, it was determined that the teeth
having the fracture strength similar to that of the solid teeth were obtained
by evaluating the transport media, the materials used in the bonding of the
fracture part and the etching techniques.

Conclusions:  Although the satisfaction rates of patients and parents
are high in aesthetic, the number of prospective trials in which long-term
results of clinical and radiographic assessment are given together is limited.
