Evapotranspiration of Beans (Phaseolus Vulgaris L.) for Isparta Conditions

This study was conducted to measure actual evapotranspiration (ET) of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in the Experiment Farm of the Agricultural Faculty, the University of Süleyman Demirel. Irrigation was performed every ten-day-period and amount of evaporation from class A pan during this period was ap-plied as the amount of irrigation water. Actual ET values were obtained by measuring changes in soil water content for decade periods during whole growing season. Measured actual ET values were compared with the reference or potential ET values calculated by the methods of FAO modification of Penman (P-FAO), FAO modification of Class A Pan Evaporation (A-FAO), Jensen-Haise (J-H), Penman-Monteith (P-M), Hargreaves (H) and Christiansen-Hargreaves modification of Class A pan (A-CH). In the comparison; correlation coefficients of the relationships between actual ET and estimated ET, ratio of calculated ET using different methods to the measured actual ET as percentage, root mean square error (RMS) and seasonal mean crop coefficients (kc) were the criteria to evaluate suitability of the methods. As a result, it was found that most suitable estimation method was Jensen-Haise method (J-H). In addition, the crop coef-ficient (kc) curve has been prepared for this method.

Isparta Koşullarında Fasulyenin (Phaseolus Vulgaris L.) Su Tüketimi

Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Kuleönü Araştırma ve Uygulama çiftliğinde 2001 ve 2002 yıllarında ya-pılan bu çalışmada fasulyenin bitki su tüketimi ölçülmüştür. Sulamalar her on günde bir yapılmış ve A sınıfı buharlaşma kabından on günlük periyotta ölçülen buharlaşma miktarının tamamı kadar sulama suyu uygulanmıştır. Su tüketimi ölçmeleri, toprak nemi azalmasının denetimi yoluyla onar günlük peri-yotlar için yapılmıştır. Ölçülen bitki su tüketimi değerleri, bitki su tüketimi tahminlerinde kullanılan, Penman FAO modifikasyo-nu (P-FAO), Kap Buharlaşması FAO modifikasyonu (A-FAO), Jensen-Haise (J-H), Penman-Monteith (P-M), Hargreaves (H) ve A sınıfı kap buharlaşması yönteminin Christiansen-Hargreaves modifikasyonu (A-CH) yöntemleriyle hesaplanan kıyas yada potansiyel bitki su tüketimi değerleriyle karşılaştırılmıştır. Karşılaştırmada; Ölçülen bitki su tüketimi ile tahmin edilen bitki su tüketimleri arasındaki ilişkinin korelasyon katsayısı (r), tahmin yöntemleriyle hesaplanan bitki su tüketimi değerlerinin gerçek bitki su tüketimini karşılama yüzdesi (% ET), hata kareler ortalaması (RMS) ve mevsimlik ortalama bitki katsayısı (kc) göz önüne alınmıştır. Sonuçta, deneme koşulları için en yakın tahminin Jensen-Haise (J-H) yöntemi ile elde edilebileceği saptanmış ve bu yön-teme ilişkin bitki katsayısı (kc) eğrisi hazırlanmıştır.
