Soil Properties of Locations Where Caper(Capparis Ovata Desf. Var. Canescens (Cross.) Heywood) Grown Naturally and Their Effects on Flower Bud Yield

Öz

This study was carried out on locations in which caper naturally grown in Konya in 2003. Experiment was designed in randomized plots design with three replications. Some properties of the soils where the plants grown naturally were examined. The soil, where grown caper plant was sandy loamy, calcereous, and poor organic matter contents (< 1 %). In natural conditions, flower bud harvest started with the begining of the April and continued up to begining of the Oc-tober. Bud yields was determined by collecting the buds formed in the plants in nature. The bud yields showed differences depend on the locations and average yield was found between 512.1-626.8 g plant-1.
