The Effect of Different Salt Concentrations Relative Water Content, Chlorophyll Content and Plant Growth in Pea (Pisum sativum L.)

Öz

The effect of different salinity levels (0, 25, 50, 100 mM NaCl) supplemented in Half Hoagland solution on root and shoot water content, stem/root growth rate, chlorophyll content, root and stem development of pea (Pisum sativum L.) was investigated. The trial was established at Selcuk University, Faculty of Agriculture, Biotechnology Laboratory in a growth chamber in three replications. The effect of different salt levels on root length of stem, stem/root length ratio, fresh weight of the stem plant, fresh stem/root weight ratio, dry stem/root weight ratio and relative water content (RWC) value was statistically significant. Besides, certain significant bilateral relations have been identified between the obtained data.
