Effect of Extruded Full-Fat Soybean on Performance and Some Carcass Characteristics of Broilers in Broiler Ration

Öz

In this study, parcial replacement of extruded full-fat soybean in place of soybean meal (SBM) and soya oil (SO) which used as protein and energy sources in broiler rations, were investigated. Dayold commercial Hybro chicks were used as experimental materials. The experiment was lasted in eight weeks. During the first four weeks of experiment chicks were fed with starterration containing 22% protein and last four weeks of the experiment with finisher ration containing 20% protein. Control ration (K) is a practical type ration representing the widely used broiler ration containing 28% SBM and SO (84.2% SBM+15.8% SO). Experimental rations were obtained by substitution of SBM+SO with 28% (R1), 21% (R2), 14% (R3) and 7% (R4) extruded full-fat soybean. Body weight and weight gain were determined by weighing birds individually at the and of every week. Feed consumption was determined on the basis of replicates again at the end of every week. Carcass charecteristics were determined at the end of experiment on 30 birds which choosed by chance. With respect to all charecters examined no statistically significant effects were obtained. But a gradual increment were observed on percent abdominal fat from control to ration 4 (R4), but this effect was not significant, either. Pancreas weights in experimental groups showed that there was no antinutritional effects.
