The Determination of Genetical Distance in Selfed Maize Lines (S4) by Using PCR Analysis
Öz
Selfings were done in F2 populations in 1992 among plants collected from Samsun and Elazığ and Bolu. Selfings were done up to the year of 1996 and 20 maize line samples belongs to S4 generation were used in PCR analysis in 1997 to predict the heterotic hybrids. Genetical distances (D) were calculated from DNA bands and cluster analysis was done to generate dendogram graphics. The highest genetical distances were obtained in lines between 195. and 110. in group 1 and 226. ve 238. in group II and 302. and 520-2. in group III. It is expected that F1 hybrids would show heterosis as a result of crossing among these lines.
