The Determination of Yield and Yield Components of Some Hybrid Corn Varieties in Konya Ecological Conditions

Öz

This research was conducted to determine the yield and yield components of seven hybrid corn varieties (Lure. Dogc. P-3394, Zeneca. Ant-90. T-1595. LG-60) in Konya ecological conditions and was arranged randomized complete block experimenta desing with three replications. Hybrid con varieties were sown 17 May 2000 and wer harvested 27 October 2000. The plants were applied 20 kg N da (at sowing. stem elongation and before tasseling (6 kg N da¹. 9 kg N da", 5 kg N da¹ respectively). 6 ka P₂Os da¹ (at sowing) and 6 kg K₂O da (at sowing). The plants were watered six times. The grain yield of varieties ranged from 866 kg da¹ (Zeneca) to 1283 kg da¹ (P-3394) and mean yield was 1094.7 kg da. Grain moistures in the harvest ranged from 25.85%(Ant-90) 10 32.11% (Dogc), flowering times ranged from 72.7 days (Ant-90) to 87.0 days (Dogc). The correlation between grain yield and grain weight per ear and grain number per row was significant statistically.
