An Assessment on The Arrangement of The Living Areas in the Epi-paleolithic Period of Direkli Cave

Öz

The Epi-paleolithic is a cultural period that emerges immediately after the Paleolithic Age. That cultural period has developed that began to evolve Holocene geological period, where we lives in, after the glacial conditions of the Pleistocene ceased to exist. This period humans has begun to reveal a way of life different from the life activities of the previous era, when people slowly drown out of the effect of the heavy glacier conditions of the earth. The most important evidence of this period can be seen on the chipped stone industry. But here we will talk about the different vital area arrangements of the time, which will be related to how the caves, which may already be experienced, are shaped by spatial arrangements even during temporary settlement periods. It is a bit difficult to reveal the characteristics of the Epi-paleolithic period, which are revealed in excavations and surface surveys in Anatolian prehistory studies. This is because of the lack of excavations related to the period. The site, which reveals the cultural structure of this period systematically, is Öküzini Cave on the border of Yağca Village in the Antalya Province, Döşemealtı District. After that, Direkli Cave is located in Döngel Village, Kahramanmaras province, which is a cave administration. It is also important in terms of preserving the cultural deposits as much as possible in order to reveal the defining elements of the Epi-paleolithic period. Especially with the hearth, burial place and the traces of round planned structures, the last data on the arrangement of the living areas of the Epi-paleolithic period is striking. In this article, it is aimed to emphasize the importance of the arrangements in the life of the people of the Epi-paleolithic period.

Direkli Mağarası Epi-paleolitik Dönem Yaşamsal Alan Düzenlemeleri Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Öz

Epi-paleolitik dönem, Paleolitik Çağ’ın hemen ardından ortaya çıkan bir kültürel dönemdir. Bu kültürel dönem, Pleistosen’in buzul koşulları ortadan kalktıktan sonra Holosen dönemin başlaması ile gelişmiştir. Bu dönem insanları yerkürenin ağır buzul koşullarının etkisinin yavaş yavaş ortadan kalkmasıyla bir önceki dönemin yaşam aktivitelerinden farklı bir yaşam biçimi ortaya koymaya başlamıştır. Bunun en önemli kanıtlarını yontmataş endüstrileri üzerinde görmek mümkündür. Ancak burada dönemin farklı yaşamsal alan düzenlemelerinden söz edeceğiz ki bu da zaten yaşanabilecek olan mağaraların içinin geçici yerleşim sürelerinde bile nasıl mekan düzenlemeleriyle şekillendirilmiş olduğuyla ilişkili olacaktır. Anadolu prehistoryası çalışmalarında kazı ve yüzey araştırmalarıyla ortaya konulan Epi-paleolitik dönem özelliklerini her niteliğiyle ortaya koymak biraz zordur. Bunun sebebi söz konusu dönemle ilgili kazıların azlığıdır. Bu dönemin kültürel yapılanmasını sistematik kazılarla ortaya koyan ilk sit, Antalya İli Döşemealtı İlçesi Yağca Köyü sınırlarındaki Öküzini Mağarası’dır. Bunun ardından yine bir başka mağara iskanı olan Kahramanmaraş ili Onikişubat İlçesi, Döngel Köyü’nde bulunan Direkli Mağarası gelmektedir. Direkli Mağarası, Epipaleolitik dönemin tanımlayıcı unsurlarını ortaya koyması açısından önemli olduğu kadar kültür dolgularının büyük oranda korunmuş olması açısından da önem taşımaktadır. Özellikle ocak, mezar ve yuvarlak planlı yapı izleri, Epi-paleolitik dönemin yaşama alanlarının düzenlenmesi konusunda son derece dikkat çekicidir. Bu makale, söz konusu düzenlemelerin Epi-paleolitik dönem insanlarının yaşamındaki önemini vurgulamayı hedeflemektedir.
