Our study is about the prophetic institution, which is closely related to human
responsibility. An evaluation has been made that deals with the philosophical
partly theological aspect of the institution of prophethood. Although the
approaches and evaluations of different theological schools regarding this
institution in the Islamic tradition have been given a critical approach, the
institution of prophethood has been emphasized not as a historical field of
study, but because of its relationship with human responsibility. Particular
attention was paid to the reason why the prophet was chosen from among
the people. This situation has been highlighted with the assumption that
the Prophethood can be an answer to current problems in our study due to
its theological relationship with human responsibility. On the other hand,
in our study, special importance was given due to the relationship between
human responsibility and the institution in question, which means the end
of prophethood has also meaning in terms of Islamic theology.
