In order to understand Islam correctly and get to know Muhammad (pbuh) better, it is of great importance to examine the lives of the Companions (Sahaba). Because the Companions witnessed the revelation, saw the Prophet personally, got to know him, and learned Islam directly from him. Companion Abdullah ibn Jahsh was one of the first to accept Islam when Islam was conveyed secretly. He believed in Allah and his Prophet than despite the Qurayshi polytheists’ threats, he rendered great services to Islam. He participated in the raid of Nahla, the Battle of Badr and later battle of Uhud where he attained martyrdom, which was his greatest desire. He was relative of, also trusted and consulted by Prophet (pbuh). In this study, the biography of one of the pioneers of Islam, Abdullah ibn Jahsh, will be discussed within the framework of the sources we can reach. According to our research, although there are some studies about Abdullah ibn Jahsh in the context of raid of Nahla, there is no specific study about his life and personality in the academic field. For this reason, we aimed to make a modest contribution to the work to be done about him by revealing a compact biography of him.
