A rare complication after total knee arthroplasty in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis; the peroneal nerve damage: A case report

Öz

46-year-old female patient was admitted with complaints of right leg weakness and numbness. 4 months ago had been operated on for knee replacement. At the same time, rheumatoid arthritis was diagnosed. Peroneal motor nerve EMG response was obtained. Peroneal nerve decompression and neurolysis was performed. The patient's postoperative paresthesia disappeared. Peroneal nerve damage after knee replacement surgery may develop. This risk was higher in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Romatoid artritli bir hastada total diz protezi sonrası gelişen nadir bir komplikasyon peroneal sinir hasarı: Bir olgu nedeniyle

Öz

46 yaşında bayan hasta sağ ayağında güçsüzlük ve uyuşukluk şikayetleri ile başvurdu. Dört ay önce total diz protezi için opere olmuştu. Aynı zamanda, Romatoid artrit tanısı ile takip edilmekte idi. EMG'sinde peroneal motor sinir yanıtı alınamadı. Peroneal sinir dekompresyonu ve nöroliz uygulandı. Hastanın ameliyat sonrası his kusuru ortadan kalktı. Diz protezi ameliyatı sonrasında peroneal sinir hasarı gelişebilir. Bu riskin Romatoid artrit olgularında daha fazla olduğu unutulmamalıdır.
