THE IMPACT OF GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS OF 2008 ON EMPLOYMENT

Economic crisis has emerged worldwide or in different geographies in the world throughout the years. Economic crisis can be described as a situation where the society enters into a hard time and the ordinary or stable situation changes. Deviation of economy from its normal progress has an effect on the demand for goods and services, production and also employment. Global economic crisis that began in 2008 and became effective in 2009 shook the developed and the developing countries significantly and caused the production to shrink. With the contraction of international trade capacity, unemployment has been experienced intensely in the countries which are developing and where there is too much supply for young worker labour-force.

2008 KÜRESEL EKONOMİK KRİZİN İSTİHDAMA ETKİSİ

Öz

Yıllar boyunca dünyanın genelinde ya da farklı coğrafyalarında ekonomik krizler ortaya çıkmıştır. Ekonomik kriz, bir toplumun güç durum içine girmesi, olağan veya durağan durumun değişmesi olarak da ifade edilebilir. Ekonominin normal seyrinden sapması mal ve hizmetlere olan talebi, üretimi ve dolayısıyla istihdamı olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. 2008 yılında dünyayı saran ve 2009 yılında etkisini tam anlamıyla hissettiren küresel ekonomik kriz, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeleri önemli derecede sarsmış, üretimin daralmasına neden olmuştur. Uluslararası ticaret hacminin de daralması ile birlikte, Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ve genç işgücü arzının fazla olduğu ülkelerde işsizlik problemi daha yoğun yaşanmıştır.
