Assesment in Foster Care Services

Abstract

Experiences gained through clinical work is very effective in determining key factors to improve foster care services. These practices point out the importance of professional assessment of the family and child before the placement and follow-up after the placement. For this reason, the aim of this study is to discuss and evaluate the problems raise during foster care in the frame of the experiences obtained during the work with children under foster care placement and consulted for different kinds of problems in child psychiatry clinic and make suggesstions for assessment and follow-up practices.

Koruyucu Aile Hizmetlerinde Değerlendirme Süreci

Öz

Klinik çalışmalarda elde edilen deneyimler, koruyucu aile hizmetlerinin geliştirilmesi açısından önemli noktaların saptanmasında oldukça etkilidir. Bu çalışmalar, koruyucu aile hizmetlerinin yürütülmesinde çocuğun koruyucu aile yanına yerleştirilmesinden önce, ailenin ve çocuğun profesyonel olarak değerlendirilmesinin ve yerleştirme sonrasında da izlenmesinin önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmanın amacı, koruyucu aile bakımında olan ve farklı sorunlar nedeniyle çocuk ruh sağlığı bölümüne başvuran çocukların tedavisi sırasında klinikte yürütülen aileye yönelik sosyal hizmet uygulamalarından elde edilen deneyimler çerçevesinde koruyucu aile bakımında karşılaşılan sorunları tartışarak değerlendirme ve izleme çalışmaları için önerilerde bulunmaktır.
