AİLENİN SOSYAL HİZMET LİTERATÜRÜNDEKİ YERİ: LİSANSÜSTÜ TEZLER ÜZERİNDEN BİR BİBLİYOMETRİK ANALİZ

Öz

Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de sosyal hizmet bilim dalında aile konusuna yönelik akademik üretimin durumunu analiz etmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi (YÖKTEZ) veri tabanında 2025 yılı Mart ayına kadar erişime açık olan, sosyal hizmet disiplininde aile temalı hazırlanmış 137 lisansüstü tez, nitel bir araştırma yöntemi olan içerik analiziyle incelenmiştir. Bulgular, aile konulu sosyal hizmet tezlerinin ağırlıklı olarak kadın araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlandığını göstermektedir. Tez sayısında yıllara göre artış gözlenirken, yüksek lisans tezlerinin doktora tezlerine kıyasla daha fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tezlerde en sık çocuk ve aile refahı ile engellilik ve aile konuları ele alınırken, göç, yoksulluk ve aile içi şiddet gibi konular daha az incelenmiştir. Araştırma yöntemleri açısından nicel çalışmalar baskın olup özellikle doktora düzeyinde nitel ve karma yöntem kullanımı artmıştır. Tüm tezler Türkçe yazılmış olup bu tezlerin belirli üniversitelerde yoğunlaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, sosyal hizmet alanında aile temalı akademik çalışmaların giderek arttığı, ancak doktora düzeyinde ve belirli konularda araştırma eksikliklerinin bulunduğu görülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, sosyal hizmet disiplininde doktora programlarının desteklenmesi, metodolojik çeşitliliğin artırılması ve uluslararası akademik katılımın teşvik edilmesi önerilmektedir.

THE PLACE OF FAMILY IN SOCIAL WORK LITERATURE: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF POSTGRADUATE THESES

Öz

This study aims to analyze the state of academic production on family-related topics within the field of social work in Türkiye. The research examines 137 postgraduate theses on family themes in the social work discipline, accessible in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education (YÖKTEZ) database as of March 2025, using content analysis, a qualitative research method. The findings indicate that graduate theses on family-related social work topics have predominantly been conducted by female researchers. While an increase in the number of theses has been observed over the years, master's theses outnumber doctoral dissertations. The most frequently studied topics include child and family welfare and disability, while issues such as migration, poverty, and domestic violence receive comparatively less attention. Quantitative studies are dominant in terms of research methods, though qualitative and mixed-method approaches have become more prevalent at the doctoral level. All theses are written in Turkish and are concentrated in certain universities. In conclusion, while family-related academic studies in social work are increasing, research gaps remain at the doctoral level and in specific topics. Therefore, supporting doctoral programs in social work, enhancing methodological diversity, and encouraging international academic engagement are recommended.
