Effective time management plays a crucial role in enhancing life satisfaction, especially for university students managing demanding academic and athletic schedules. This study aims to examine the relationship between effective time management and life satisfaction among undergraduate sports science students, as well as to investigate group differences based on demographic and behavioral factors through appropriate statistical analyses. Data were collected via the Time Management Scale and the Life Satisfaction Scale. The findings reveal that demographic characteristics, living arrangements, leisure activities, and exercise motivations significantly affect both time management and life satisfaction (p < 0.05). A positive correlation was found between time management skills and life satisfaction (r = 0.332, p < 0.01). These results suggest that effective time management improves students’ ability to balance academic and personal responsibilities, thereby promoting overall well-being. For sports science students, proficient time management not only supports academic success but also enhances quality of life. It is recommended that time management training be integrated into sports science curricula to help students achieve a better balance between academic demands and personal life, ultimately fostering their well-being.
