The aim of this study is to examine the self-efficacy levels of individuals in happiness and emotional regulation according to their participation in physical activity. In the research, the relational method from quantitative research was preferred. While the population of the research consists of adult individuals in the province of Ankara, the sample consists of a total of 390 people, 177 male and 213 female participants, selected by convenience sampling method, one of the random sampling methods. Our data collection tools consist of three parts. There are 6 questions in the personal information form, which is the first part of the research. In the second part, it is a 5-point Likert type scale developed by Akın et al. (2014) to measure the emotional self-efficacy levels of individuals. In the third part, the Oxford Happiness Scale Short Form, developed by Hills and Argyle (2002) and adapted into Turkish by Doğan and Akıncı-Çötok, was used. This scale is a 5-point Likert-type scale consisting of 7 questions in order to examine the happiness levels of individuals. The reliability coefficients of the data were calculated and by looking at the normality values, parametric tests, t-test for paired groups, Anova test for multiple groups, and Pearson correlation test were applied to examine the relationship between the scales. As a result, it has been determined that there is a positive relationship in the sub-dimensions of self-efficacy in happiness and emotional regulation, and as the individual's self-efficacy increases, the level of happiness also increases. In addition, the results show that individuals who do physical activity frequently are happier and have higher self-efficacy levels. Guicciardi et al. (2019) reached the conclusion that participation in regular physical activity contributes to the happiness and high self-efficacy of the individual by increasing the quality of life, and obtained a result in parallel with our study.
