SPORA KATILAN ÇOCUKLARA YÖNELİK AİLELERİN BEKLENTİLERİ, ÇOCUKLARDA GÖZLENEN DAVRANIŞ DEĞİŞİMLERİ VE SPORA KATILIMIN ÖNÜNDEKİ ENGELLER

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, basketbol spor okuluna devam eden çocukların ailelerinin çocuğunu spora göndermedeki beklentisi, spora devam eden çocukta gözlediği davranış değişimleri ve spora devam etmesinin önünde gördükleri engellerin neler olduğunu belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu 258 aile (140 anne ve 118 baba) oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ve dört bölümden oluşan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Sonuçlar analiz edildiğinde; ailelerin çocuklarını basketbol spor okuluna göndermedeki ilk üç sıradaki en önemli beklentileri; düzenli spor yapma alışkanlığı edinmesi, takım ruhu kazanması ve sağlığını koruması ve geliştirmesidir. Aileler spor okuluna devam eden çocuğunda ilk üç sırada; kendine güven duygusunun arttığını, arkadaş sayısında artış olduğunu ve daha çok işbirliği içine girip paylaştığını gözlemişlerdir. Aileler, sporun önünde gördükleri engelleri ise şöyle sıralamışlardır: sınavlara hazırlık (OKS, SBS ve ÖSS) ve dersler, spor saha ve salonların eksikliği, TV izleme, video ve bilgisayar oyunları

Öz

The aims of the study are to find out the expectations of the families of the children who are participating basketball sport school, the behavioral changes that are observed in children by the families and to determine what are the obstacles to regular participation to sport. The sample group of the study consists of 258 families (140 mother and 118 father). Data were collected by the four-chapter questionnaire that are composed by the researcher. Analizing the results; the three most important expectations of the families while sending their children to the basketball sport school are forming the habit of attending sports activities regularly, acquiring the team spirit and maintaining and protecting their health. The families observed in the first three rank that the children who are attending to the sports activities developed the self- esteem, increased the number of their friends and became more collaborative. The families prioritized the obstacles to sports as the following: getting prepared for the exams (OKS, SBS and OSS) and the lessons, the lack of sports arenas and halls, watching TV, video and computer games
