The purpose of this research is to examine physical education predispositions of middle school students according to teacher leadership style and some demographic variables. The research group of the study consisted of 560 middle school students, 283 girls and 277 boys, and 10 physical education teachers, 2 females and 8 males. ‘The Physical Education Predisposition Scale’ (Öncü, Gürbüz, Küçük Kılıç and Keskin, 2015) and ‘The Teacher Leadership Style Scale’ (Deniz and Hasançebioğlu, 2003) were used to collect data. Descriptive statistical methods, MANOVA and ANOVA were used in the data analysis. The results of analysis indicated that physical education predispositions of the students were above the middle level. There were significant differences between physical education predispositions of the students and their gender, grade level, gender of physical education teacher and teacher leadership style. The most striking result obtained from the research is that the students whose physical education teachers who have democratic leadership style conduct their lessons have lower tendencies towards physical education.
