PERİNATAL KAYIP YAŞAYAN KADINLARIN LAKTASYON DÖNEMİNDEKİ DENEYİMLERİNİN DECK CHAİR TEORİSİNE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ

Yıl 2023, Cilt: 4 Sayı: 1, 98 - 115, 29.03.2023

Öz

Amaç: Bu meta-sentez çalışmasının amacı, perinatal kayıp yaşayan kadınların laktasyon döneminde yaşadığı deneyimlerin Deck-Chair Teorisine göre incelenmesidir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya dahil edilen makaleler Google Scholar, Pubmed, MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, CINALH, Cochrane, Taylor & Francis veri tabanlarında “lactation after stillbirth OR breastfeeding after perinatal loss AND lactation OR breastfeeding OR breast milk expression AND infant loss OR perinatal loss OR neonatal death OR perinatal death OR fetal death OR pregnancy loss OR sudden death” ve “laktasyon VEYA emzirme VE perinatal kayıp VEYA perinatal kayıp sonrası laktasyon VEYA gebelik kaybı VE deneyim VEYA emzirme deneyimi VEYA laktasyon deneyimi” anahtar kelimeleriyle Türkçe ve İngilizce tarama yapılmıştır.

Objective: The aim of this meta-synthesis study is to examine the experiences of women with perinatal loss during the lactation period according to the Deck-Chair Theory.
Materials and Methods: The articles included in the study were found in Google Scholar, Pubmed, MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, CINALH, Cochrane, Taylor & Francis databases "lactation after stillbirth OR breastfeeding after perinatal loss AND lactation OR breastfeeding OR breast milk expression AND with the keywords infant loss OR perinatal loss OR neonatal death OR perinatal death OR fetal death OR pregnancy loss OR sudden death and in Turkish and English scan was done. The researchers used the Critical Evaluation Checklist for Qualitative Studies independently developed by the Joanna Briggs Institute to assess the methodological quality of the articles.
Results: According to the results of the search, 35,148 studies were reached. Four articles meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the study. According to the Deck Chair theory, the experiences of mothers during the lactation process are grouped under four sub-themes. Sub-themes were determined as mothers' experiences, mothers' emotional well-being, family and friend support, and support of health personnel.
Conclusion: Emotional pain increases even more because the lactation process is not addressed after perinatal loss, causing mothers with perinatal loss to face physiological conditions such as breast fullness and milk leakage. In this process, besides psychological support, mothers should be given comprehensive nursing care to manage the lactation process.
