Investigation of University Students' Acceptance of Online Learning Systems and Online Learning Attitudes

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between university students' acceptance of online systems and their attitudes towards online learning. In this context, the extent to which students accept online learning systems according to certain variables (gender, age, field of study, having a personal computer and having Internet access, frequency of Internet use, whether they receive computer-related education outside of school) and how these acceptance situations affect their online learning attitudes were investigated. The population of the study, which was designed with the general survey model, consists of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University students. The application was carried out with 352 students studying in different programs at the relevant university and determined by simple random sampling method, which is one of the types of random sampling. “Personal Information Form”, “Online Learning Systems Acceptance Scale” and “Online Learning Attitude Scale” were used as data collection tools. At the end of the study, it was found that students' acceptance of online systems and online attitudes were partially positive, and there were significant differences in acceptance and attitude scores according to students' ages, fields of study, having a personal computer and Internet connection, and receiving computer-related education. At the same time, it was concluded that there was a significant positive relationship between students' acceptance scores and attitude scores.
