i değiştirilmiş
gıdaların sağlık etkileri ile ilgili yayınlar incelenmiştir. Çalışmada
belirlenen anahtar kelimelerle ulaşılan 85 makalenin 49’u kriterleri sağladığı
i
çin araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir

Bulgular: Araştırmada toplam 49 makale incelenmiştir. 16
farklı ülkeden yapılan yayınların 2’sinin türü g
özlemsel araştırma (%4,1), 43’ünün türü deneysel
araştırma (%87,8), 3’ünün türü derleme makale (%6,1), 1’inin türü ise olgu
sunumu (%2,0) olduğu belirlenmiştir. İnsanlarda yapılmış d
ört çalışmaya
rastlanmıştır. Sağlık etkileri açısından en sık metabolik etkiler üzerinde
durulduğu belirlenmiştir.

Sonuç: Çalışma
kısıtlıklarına karşın bu konuda yapılan yayınların büyük oranda hayvan
deneylerini kapsadığını ortaya koymaktadır. İnsan sağlığına y
önelik olarak konuya ihtiyatlılık prensibi çerçevesinde
yaklaşılması yararlı olacaktır.

Aim: Genetically modified
foods are one of the type of modern biotechnology applied to food production.
The
increasing use of these foods has brought them into
greater prominence.
in terms of public health. In this study it is aimed
to examine
the relevant studies and publications
in the literature.

Material and Methods: The study examined publications on the health effects
of genetically modified foods published in the PubMed database between
2008-2017. 85 articles
were reached by key words in
the study and 49 of them
incorporated with some criteria.

Findings: 49 articles were examined in the study. 2 of them were observational
(4.1%), 4
3 were experimental
research (87.8%), 3
were review articles (6.1%)
and 1
was case report (2.0%) and publications were from 16 different
countries. Four study
were on humans. It has been
determined that
among the health effects of genetically modified foods relevant
publications most commonly focused on metabolic effects of them.

Conclusion: Despite the limitations of this study, it is shown that the
publications made in this subject cover animal experiments in large scale. It
would be useful to approach the issue within the framework of the precautionary
principle.
