Lifelong Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of the educational environment, impacting various aspects of teaching and learning. Artificial intelligence in education supports formal education and lifelong learning by developing effective adaptive learning environments and flexible, inclusive tools. Lifelong learning is the process of learning from birth to death, and in this process, the contribution of artificial intelligence tools cannot be ignored.This study, it is aimed to address the use of artificial intelligence in lifelong learning. The problem statement of the research is "How is the use of artificial intelligence in lifelong learning?". The research was conducted with a basic qualitative research design, one of the qualitative research methods. In the research, a conceptual analysis was presented by examining the studies on lifelong learning and artificial intelligence in national and international literature through the document analysis method. Within the scope of the research, firstly, the concepts of lifelong learning and artificial intelligence are explained. Then the conceptual framework on the use of artificial intelligence in lifelong learning is given. Personalized Learning Platforms, Intelligent Learning Assistants, Customized Suggestion Systems, Adaptive Testing Systems, and Automated Content Generation can be used in lifelong learning. It is thought that this study, in which the use of artificial intelligence in lifelong learning is discussed comprehensively, will contribute to the literature.
