AI-Supported Models of Musical Thinking and Societal Transformation

Abstract

In the 21st century, artificial intelligence technologies have begun to reshape not only artistic production but also the very nature of human thought, aesthetic perception, and cultural transmission. Within this rapidly transforming digital landscape, music emerges as one of the most affected domains due to its historical role as a vehicle for cultural memory, emotional expression, and social identity construction. The algorithmic redefinition of musical thinking through learning machines and computational systems requires a multidimensional analysis in terms of individual creativity, aesthetic decision-making, and societal transformation. This paper aims to explore the conceptual and societal dimensions of AI-supported models of musical thinking. Drawing on neuromusicology, computational aesthetics, and posthumanist philosophy, the study adopts a qualitative approach and employs document analysis as its main method. The literature selected from musicology, philosophy, cognitive science, and educational technology has been analyzed within an interdisciplinary framework. The main findings indicate that AI-supported musical systems not only transform creative processes but also reshape cultural representation, social inequalities, and pedagogical practices. The ability of algorithms to simulate aesthetic decisions leads to epistemological ruptures in traditional understandings of music. At the same time, digital homogenization risks emerge in the representation of musical identities; however, these systems also hold strong potential for inclusivity and participation in music education. The originality of this study lies in its comprehensive theoretical framework that integrates music, artificial intelligence, and cultural transformation within aesthetic, ethical, and sociological dimensions. Furthermore, it examines how AI-supported musical systems redefine individual creativity and challenge the boundaries of human–machine interaction in aesthetic decision-making. In this respect, the cognitive, creative, societal, and pedagogical dimensions are considered together in an integrated theoretical structure. AI-supported musical thinking is regarded not merely as a technological innovation but as a driving force of societal modernization, emotional restructuring, and the transformation of aesthetic paradigms. Ultimately, the study proposes a critical, ethical, and culturally sensitive perspective for the future of music pedagogy.

Yapay Zekâ Destekli Müzikal Düşünme Modelleri ve Toplumsal Dönüşüm

Öz

21. yüzyılda yapay zekâ teknolojilerinin sanat ve eğitim alanlarındaki etkisi, yalnızca üretim süreçlerini değil; aynı zamanda düşünme biçimlerini, estetik algıları ve kültürel aktarım modellerini de köklü biçimde dönüştürmektedir. Bu bağlamda müzik, tarihsel olarak sahip olduğu kültürel hafıza taşıyıcılığı, estetik ifade gücü ve duygusal temsil işlevi ile yapay zekâ destekli sistemlerin yeniden şekillendirdiği en önemli alanlardan biri hâline gelmiştir. Müzikal düşünmenin algoritmik süreçler ve öğrenen makinelerle yeniden tanımlanması hem bireysel yaratıcılık hem de estetik karar süreçleri hem de toplumsal dönüşüm açısından çok katmanlı bir incelemeyi gerekli kılmaktadır. Bu çalışma, yapay zekâ destekli müzikal düşünme modellerinin birey, toplum ve kültür üzerindeki etkilerini nöromüzikoloji, hesaplamalı estetik ve posthümanist teori çerçevesinde kuramsal olarak incelemektedir. Araştırma, nitel bir yaklaşımla doküman analizi yöntemine dayanmakta; müzikoloji, felsefe, bilişsel bilim ve eğitim teknolojisi alanlarından seçilmiş literatürü çok disiplinli bir bütünlük içinde analiz etmektedir. Araştırmanın temel bulguları, yapay zekâ destekli müzikal sistemlerin yalnızca yaratıcı süreci değil; aynı zamanda kültürel temsili, toplumsal eşitsizlikleri ve pedagojik uygulamaları da dönüştürdüğünü göstermektedir. Özellikle estetik kararların algoritmalar tarafından simüle edilebilmesi, geleneksel müzik anlayışında epistemolojik kırılmalara yol açmaktadır. Aynı zamanda, müzikal kimliklerin temsilinde dijital tek tipleşme riski artmakta; ancak bu sistemler, müzik eğitiminde katılımı artırma ve kapsayıcılığı güçlendirme potansiyeli de taşımaktadır. Çalışmanın özgün katkısı, müzik, yapay zekâ ve kültürel dönüşüm kavramlarını estetik, etik ve sosyolojik boyutlarıyla birlikte ele alan bütüncül bir kuramsal çerçeve sunmasıdır. Bununla birlikte, çalışma yapay zekâ destekli müzikal sistemlerin bireysel yaratıcılığı nasıl yeniden tanımladığını ve estetik karar süreçlerinde insan–makine etkileşiminin sınırlarını da sorgulamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, bilişsel, yaratıcı, toplumsal ve pedagojik düzlemler bütüncül bir kuramsal yapıda bir araya getirilmiştir. Yapay zekâ destekli müzikal düşünme, bu bağlamda yalnızca teknolojik bir yenilik değil; aynı zamanda toplumsal modernizasyonun, duygusal yeniden yapılanmanın ve estetik paradigmanın dönüşümünün temel dinamiklerinden biri olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma, geleceğin müzik pedagojisine yönelik eleştirel, etik ve kültürel duyarlılığı yüksek bir perspektif önermektedir.
