Arkaik
Dönem boyunca geniş bir coğrafyada karşımıza çıkan Dalgalı Çizgili Seramiğin
Doğu Yunan kökenli olduğu bilinmekte, Samos ve Miletos en önemli üretim yeri
olarak kabul edilmektedir. Öte yandan birçok çalışma bu seramik türünün Güney
İonia dışında birçok kentte de üretilmiş olduğunu göstermektedir. Klazomenai’de
elde edilen veriler kentin bu tür seramik üretiminde önemli bir yere sahip
olduğunu göstermiştir. Kentte M.Ö. 7. yüzyıldan 5. yüzyıla değin bu tür
seramiğin üretildiğini gösteren buluntular ele geçmektedir. Ortaya çıkış ve
erken dönemlere ait veriler, geç Arkaik Dönem’e göre sınırlı olmakla birlikte,
Dalgalı Çizgili Seramiğin Güney İonia kentleri ile eş zamanlı olarak üretilmiş
olduğunu göstermektedir.
