Shaırnamahs is known as-though not as much as collection of biographies of poets found in classical Turkish literature-texts contributing to our literature in the field of biography in terms of making mention of names of the poets together with their certain features. Though viewed among Folk Literature crops so to speak, Divan poets also exemplified of this kind leastwise. In fact, it has been determined that the first example of this kind was given by the classical Turkish literature poet Isretî (DOD.1566/67). Another Divan poets Garami (DOD.1586*?+ and Aynî (DOD.1839) also had this kind of poems.
Apart from the above-mentioned poet Suheyli (DOB. 1633-34) who lived between the second half of the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century, also has this kind of poem. This poem, which is the subject of our work, is in Süheyli’s divan. This poem by Süheylî, named Gulshen-i Shuara, is an ode composed of 91 couplets. In this poem, which has the characteristic of Şairnâme and especially where the Persian poets have been brought to the fore, along with the poet himself 36 Arab and Turkish poets are also mentioned in total. When the given poets’ names are mentioned in şairnâme, each poet’s significant poesy features have been put into words with a few couplets. We hope that Persian literature researchers will also be interested in this poem, and we hope that this poem will also draw attention especially to the point of view of Anatolian poet to classical Persian poets.
