İbrahim Aşlamacı, 21st Century Skills and Religious Education A Critical Approach

Abstract

Each period and the developments in different fields following that period shape societies in terms of the needs they have and the opportunities they offer. The 21st century draws a very different portrait from the previous periods due to the technological innovations, opportunities and expectations it brings with it. This period basically needs individuals who can understand it, who can accept and adapt to change, and who have received education in line with this mindset. As a matter of fact, in order to integrate into this inevitable change in a healthy way, it is essential to understand its possibilities and requirements well. In this context, in his work, İbrahim Aşlamacı discusses the new generation skills brought by the age we live in and the effects of these skills on education, and therefore on religious education, from a critical perspective.
