This research was established as a completely randomised block design with four replications. A total of the eleven combinations of cicer milkvetch, crested wheatgrass and intermediate wheatgrass made up the mixtures as at the ratios of 20, 40, 60, 80 % and pure stand for each species. In this research, it was found out that correlations of some characters of plant species with hay yield and the effects of those characters directly and indirectly to the hay yield.
The results of this research are given as follows:
l Hay yields of cicer milkvetch and intermediate wheatgrass were shown significantly and positively correlated to the crude protein (r- 0.983** and r= 0.999** respectively) and dry matter (r=-0.983** and r= 0.999** respectively) yields. The hay yield of crested wheatgrass was significantly and positively associated with dry matter yields (r= 0.964** ).
2. The results of path analysis clearly indicated that the highest total correlation coefficient occurred in cicer milkvetch (0.983) between hay and crude protein yields and between hay and dry matter yields, whereas it happened in crested wheatgrass and intermediate wheatgrass between hay and dry matter yields (0.964 and 0.999, respectively).
