Büyüme Hormonunun Metabolik ve Yaşam Kalitesine Etkileri

Öz

Büyüme hormonunun primer etkisi lineer büyümeyi hızlandırmasıdır. Bunun dışında protein, yağ ve karbonhidrat metabolizmasını da regüle etmektedir. Protein sentezini artırırken, lipolizi hızlandırır, kan şekerini yükseltir. Kemik olgunlaşmasıyla birlikte kemik mineral dansitesini artırır. Eritropoezi artırırken, serum ferritin düzeyini düşürür. Karaciğerde yapımını artırdığı IGF-1 hücre içine aminoasit ve glukoz taşınmasını artırır. Aşırı artan IGF-1 mitojenik etkilere yol açabilir. Büyüme hormonu kullanımı ile depresyon azalır, özgüven artar ve bozuk olan yaşam kalitesi yükselir.

The Effects of Growth Hormone on Metabolic Changes and Quality of Life

Öz

The major effect of growth hormone is acceleration of linear growth. It also regulates protein, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism. Growth hormone increases protein synthesis, lipolysis, and serum glucose levels. It increases bone mineral density by increasing bone maturation. Growth hormone increases erythropoiesis and decreases serum ferritin levels. IGF-1 that is produced in the liver by growth hormone causes an increase in the transportation of amino acids and glucose into cells. Excessively increased IGF-1 may cause mitogenic effects. Growth hormone treatment aids in decreasing depression, increasing self-esteem and quality of life
