Adenoid Hipertrofisi Bulunan Çocuklarda Semptomatoloji ve İmmünglobulin Düzeyleri

Öz

Giriş ve amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, adenoid hipertrofisi tespit edilen çocuklarda semptomların ve immünglobulin düzeylerinin belirlenmesi.Gereç ve yöntemler: Çalışmaya, 4-15 yaş arası adenoid hipertrofisi tespit edilen 25 hasta alındı. Adenoid hipertrofisini düşündüren semptomlar belirlendi ve her vakanın lateral yan kafa grafisi çekilerek adenoid/nazofarenks oranı yüzde olarak değerlendirildi. Hastaların serum immünglobulin düzeyleri belirlendi.Bulgular: 2 vakada uyku apnesi saptanırken 8 vakada seröz otit veya sık otit geçirme öyküsü vardı. Tüm vakalarda gece ağzı açık uyuma ve sık üst solunum yolu enfeksiyonu geçirme öyküsü saptandı. 12 vakada immünglobulin düzeylerinde düşüklük tespit edilirken 3 vakanın IgE değerlerinde yükseklik saptandı.Sonuçlar: Adenoid hipertrofisi tespit edilen vakaların, olası bir immünglobulin düşüklüğü nedeniyle tedavi öncesinde serum değerleri kontrol edilmeli ve tedavi planı buna göre düzenlenmelidir.

THE SYMPTOMS IN CHILDREN WITH ADENOIDAL HYPERTROPHY AND IMMUNOGLOBULIN LEVELS

Öz

Introduction and aim: The aim of the study is to determine the serum immunuglobulin levels and symptoms in the patients with adenoidal hypertrophy.Materials and methods: The study was included 25 patients between 4-15 ages who were detected adenoidal hypertrophy. The symtoms associated with adenoidal hypertrophy were determinated and the lateral head radiography was obtained from each patient to calculate the adenoid/nasopharyngeal ratio. The immunoglobulin levels of the patients were analyzed Results: Sleep apnea was confirmed in 2 cases, while histories of serous otitis or recurrent otitis were determined in 8 patients. The histories of open-mouth sleeping and recurrent upper-airway infectious were obtained in all patients. Decreased serum immonoglobulin levels were detected in 12 patients while elevated IgE levels were determined in 3 patients. Conclusion: In the cases that adenoidal hypertrophy was detected, because of the probable immunoglobulin lowness, serum immunoglobulin levels must be evaluated before the treatment and than the treatment strategies should be prepared
