A Disease Confused with Multiple Sclerosis in Neuroimaging: Neuro-Behçet

Yıl 2013, Özel Sayı, 47 - 49, 01.06.2013

Öz

Acute isolated neurological syndrome is the most common symptom in multiple sclerosis but can also be the only feature or first manifestation in antiphospholipid syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus and neuro-Behçet’s disease. Patients with demyelinating features may be given the false label of multiple sclerosis. Neuro-Behçet’s disease is an inflammatory disorder where the magnetic resonance imaging findings and clinical course may mimic multiple sclerosis. Here we present a 13 year-old girl with neuro-Behçet’s disease in terms of rarity and review of the differential diagnosis of demyelinating features
