Psödotümör Serebride Tekrarlayan Lomber Ponksiyonlar Risk midir?

Are Recurrent Lumbar Punctures Risky in Pseudotumor Cerebri?

Yıl 2013, Cilt: 7 Sayı: 2, 96 - 98, 01.08.2013

Öz

Pseudotumor cerebri is a syndrome characterized by increased intracranial pressure (ICP) in the absence of mass or other causes. The most common presenting symptom is headache. Dizziness, nausea and vomiting, double vision and other visual symptoms are other common manifestations. Co-existence of the Chiari malformation and pseudotumor cerebri is reported especially after lumboperitoneal shunting procedures. Here, we report a Chiari malformation that developed secondary to recurrent lumbar punctures in an 11-month-old boy diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri
