EKONOMİK BÜYÜME, ENERJİ TÜKETİMİ VE ÇEVRESEL BOZULMA İLİŞKİSİ: TÜRK CUMHURİYETLERİ ÜZERİNE PANEL VERİ ANALİZİ

Öz
Bu çalışmada Azerbaycan, Kazakistan, Kırgızistan, Türkiye, Türkmenistan ve Özbekistan Türk Cumhuriyetlerindeki ekonomik büyümenin ve enerji tüketiminin çevresel bozulma üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmaktadır. Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi (EKC) modeli ile enerji tüketimini de içeren genişletilmiş EKC modeli 1992-2019 dönemi için test edilmiştir. Genel bulgular her iki modelin de Türk Cumhuriyetlerinin oluşturduğu panel grubu için geçerli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Buna göre kalkınma sürecinde çevresel bozulmanın uzun dönemde çevresel iyileşmeye dönmesi beklense de çevresel bozulmanın maliyetlerini en aza indirmek için karbon salınımını azaltan enerji politikalarının oluşturulması sürdürülebilir ekonomik büyüme ve çevresel koşullar için gereklidir.
