Purpose: The aim of the research is to examine the suitability of the websites of art, science and technology museums from five different countinents for child visitors in terms of design features, digital applications, content information for organizing museum visits (sensory applications, information regarding workshops and events) and museum accessibility information (museum map and borrowing services) forms. Method and Materials: The study was conducted with a qualitative research design. The data was collected using the document analysis technique. The study group of the research includes the websites of 18 museums in total: 8 art museums, 10 science and technology museums from five different countinents. The “Museum Website Review Form” prepared by the researchers was used as the data collection tool. The museum websites in the study group were examined by four independent evaluators in accordance with the form items. The findings obtained are presented in tables. Results: As a result of the research, it was found that the websites of the art, science and technology museums from five different countinents were designed suitably for learning and entertainment purposes for children; the design and software were found to be suitable, easy to understand and user-friendly for children. It is also noteworthy that there are thirteen museums which visually and audibly support the content of the website’s informative pages. Alongside paying attention to the individual differences of child visitors, the museums’ supporting their content in audio-visual terms by taking into account children with special needs is also considered to be extremely important in terms of offering “equal opportunities” in education, and being “inclusive” and “accessible”. It was observed that the museum websites examined include virtual museum tours and short videos suitable for children; however, there is not a suitable interactive environment where children can upload and display their products, and there are not enough digital games suitable for children. While it was ensured that the content of the informative pages are suitable and informative for children to a large extent, it is considered important to keep the websites up-to-date. It was observed that a museum map suitable for child visitors is included. When examined in terms of borrowing services, it was found that borrowing information regarding baby carrier bags (kangaroo) and baby carriages is not available on most museum websites.
