Movies are tools that deal with various aspects of human life and convey them to the outside world. Most people can find clues about their own lives in movies. In this study, the movie Gifted, which is about the education and career development process of a gifted child, was analyzed in terms of the career development of gifted individuals based on Krumboltz's Social Learning Theory. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the study. In the findings of the study, the themes of genetic factors, environmental events/conditions, learning experiences, task approach skills and generalizations were obtained. Among these themes, environmental events/conditions stood out. In the environmental events/conditions theme, the category of individuals in the social environment was observed the most. In this respect, it was observed that the individuals in the immediate environment of Mary, the gifted child in the movie, were very influential in her career development process. In addition, in the movie, in line with Krumboltz's Social Learning Theory, it was concluded that genetic and environmental factors affected the career development process together and interactively. It can be said that the movie can support film therapy applications that can be used to examine the career development of gifted individuals. Finally, the findings are discussed within the framework of the related literature, and various recommendations are presented.
