Bibliometric analysis investigates various aspects of the literature, including historical trends, publishing types, geographical distribution, highly cited publications and authors. Understanding these trends helps to identify important issues and priorities specific to the field. The aim of this study is to present a bibliometric analysis of tourism education literature (without any limitation). In order to end, a bibliometric analysis of 850 articles in the Web of Science (WoS) database on tourism education between 1990 and 2024 was conducted using R-studio software. The results of the analysis showed that research in tourism education had gained weight since the 2000s and that research in countries including the USA, China, Australia, England, and Turkey had shaped the literature. In general, the studies addressed issues such as curriculum design, integration of technology, sustainability, and students' attitudes towards the industry in tourism education, and the temporary and permanent effects of the Covid-19 pandemic were discussed in the context of online education and technological transformation. The results provide researchers, educators, and the industry with an overview of studies in the field of tourism education, reveal current research trends and future trends, and show academic collaborations.
