DENİZYOLU TAŞIMACILIĞINDA ÜLKELERİN REKABETÇİLİĞİ VE BAYRAK ÇEKMEDE SEÇİM ÖNCELİKLERİ

Öz

Uluslararası ticarette önemli bir paya sahip olan denizcilik sektöründeki gemilerin operasyona başlamadan önce yapılması gereken işlemlerden biri olan bayrak çekme işlemi, armatörler için büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bayrak çekme işlemiyle birlikte gemiler bir sicile sahip olmaktadır ve bu sicilde gemilerin sahiplik durumu, tescil tarihi, genel özellikleri ve diğer önemli bilgileri yer almaktadır. Gemi sicili, bankalara, gemi sahiplerine ve sigorta şirketlerine geminin yasal statüsü ve geçmişi hakkında bilgi sağlamaktadır. Bu siciller genellikle ülkelerin denizcilik otoriteleri tarafından yönetilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, denizyolu taşımacılığı alanında faaliyet gösteren armatörlerin bayrak seçimini etkileyen faktörler ve Türkiye'nin bu alandaki rekabetçiliğinin ölçümlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için Michael Porter'ın geliştirdiği Elmas Modeli'ne göre bayrak seçim kriterleri belirlenecek. Belirlenen bu kriterler SWARA yöntemi kullanılarak önceliklendirilecek ve COPRAS yöntemiyle Türkiye'nin rekabetçi pazarında bulunan ülkeler değerlendirilecektir.

COMPETITIVENESS OF COUNTRIES IN MARITIME TRANSPORT AND FLAG SELECTION PRIORITIES

Öz

Ship registration, which is one of the procedures that must be carried out before the ships in the maritime sector, which has an important share in international trade, start operating, is of great importance for ship owners. With the ship registration procedure, ships gain a registry, and this registry includes the ownership status, registration date, general characteristics and other important information about the ships. The ship registry provides information about the legal status and history of the ship to banks, ship owners and insurance companies. These registries are generally managed by the maritime authorities of the countries. This study aims to determine the factors affecting the flag selection of ship owners operating in the field of maritime transportation and to measure Turkey's competitiveness in this field. To achieve this goal, flag selection criteria will be determined according to the Diamond Model developed by Michael Porter. These determined criteria will be prioritized using the SWARA method and countries in Turkey's competitive market will be evaluated using the COPRAS method.
