Öz

Gazze’de uzun yıllardır devam eden soykırım ve etnik temizlik, bölgedeki çocukları ciddi insani ve psikososyal krizlerle karşı karşıya bırakmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Gazze’deki çocukların maruz kaldığı hak ihlallerini sosyal hizmet perspektifinden ele alarak, uluslararası hukukun, insani yardım mekanizmalarının ve sosyal hizmet uygulamalarının bu bağlamdaki rolünü incelemektedir. Gazze’deki çocuklar, yalnızca fiziksel güvenliklerini değil, aynı zamanda eğitim, sağlık ve psikososyal destek gibi temel haklarını da kaybetmiş durumdadır. Süregelen soykırım, çocukların ruh sağlığına yönelik geri dönüşü olmayan etkiler bırakmakta, onların bireysel gelişimlerini ve topluma entegrasyon süreçlerini derinden sarsmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında, Gazze’de çocukların yaşadığı travmalar, eğitim haklarının kısıtlanması, temel ihtiyaçlara erişim eksikliği ve uluslararası toplumun bu duruma karşı verdiği tepkiler ele alınmaktadır. Ayrıca, sosyal hizmet disiplininin kriz yönetimi ve travma sonrası rehabilitasyon süreçlerinde oynayabileceği roller değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmalar, Gazze’deki çocukların büyük bir kısmının etnik temizlik ve savaş travmalarına bağlı olarak psikolojik ve duygusal sorunlar yaşadığını ve bu durumun uzun vadede ciddi toplumsal sonuçlar doğurabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda, sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının, uluslararası kuruluşların ve yerel aktörlerin iş birliği içinde çocukların haklarını korumaya yönelik daha etkin politikalar üretmesi gerekmektedir. Çocukların korunması, yalnızca insani bir sorumluluk değil, aynı zamanda uluslararası hukukun bir gereğidir. Bu çalışma, Gazze’deki çocukların haklarının korunması ve sosyal hizmetler aracılığıyla uzun vadeli sürdürülebilir çözümler üretilmesi konusunda kapsamlı bir çerçeve sunmaktadır.

Stolen Childhood in Gaza: Children's Rights and Social Work Perspective in The Shadow of Genocide And Ethnic Cleansing

Öz

The genocide and ethnic cleansing that has been going on in Gaza for many years has left children in the region facing serious humanitarian and psychosocial crises. This study examines the role of international law, humanitarian aid mechanisms and social work practices in this context by addressing the rights violations that children in Gaza are exposed to from a social work perspective. Children in Gaza have lost not only their physical safety but also their basic rights to education, health and psychosocial support. The ongoing genocide has irreversible effects on children's mental health, deeply undermining their individual development and integration into society. Within the scope of the study, the traumas experienced by children in Gaza, the restriction of their right to education, the lack of access to basic needs and the reactions of the international community to this situation are discussed. In addition, the roles that the social work discipline can play in crisis management and post-traumatic rehabilitation processes are evaluated. Research reveals that a large proportion of children in Gaza experience psychological and emotional problems due to ethnic cleansing and war traumas, and this situation may have serious social consequences in the long term. In this context, social workers, international organisations and local actors need to work together to develop more effective policies to protect children's rights. The protection of children is not only a humanitarian responsibility but also a requirement of international law. This study provides a comprehensive framework for protecting the rights of children in Gaza and finding long-term sustainable solutions through social work.
