Erişkinlerde Sık Görülen 8. Kranial Sinir Hastalıklarında ve Santral İşitsel İşlemleme Bozukluklarında Odyolojik Bulgular

Öz

8. Kranial sinirpatolojisi travma, konjenital malformasyonlar, tümör oluşumu, enfeksiyon ve vasküler yara-lanma kaynaklı olabilir. Sık görülen belirtiler arasında sensörinöral işitme kaybı, baş dönmesi, nistagmus ve kulak çınlaması yer alır. Santral işitsel işlemleme bozukluğu işitsel bilginin santral işlemleme becerilerinin en az birinde ya da daha fazlasında oluşan eksiklikleriyle tanımlanabilir. 8. Kranial sinir hastalıkları ve santral işitsel işlemleme bozuklukları değerlendirilirken, doğru ve etkili ayırıcı odyolojik tanı/test yöntemlerinin uygulanması uygun rehabilitasyon yöntemlerinin belirlenmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Odyologlara kıla-vuz olması amaçlanan bu derleme makalesinde, 8. kranial sinir hastalıklarında ve santral işitsel işlemleme bozukluklarında görülen genel semptomların ve odyolojik bulguların yanında, sık karşılaşılan patolojilerde uygulanabilecek ayırıcı tanı testleri ve bu testlerin olası sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir.
