DETERMINING THE OPINIONS OF USERS ON PEDESTRIAN ZONES IN TEKIRDAĞ CITY CENTER
Öz
It is important to get the contributions and opinions of the pedestrians who are the real users of urban spaces, during the design process of these places. In this study, the suggestions and demands of the citizens and shopkeepers on arrangements of the pedestrian zones and the affordability of the spaces have been investigated. Two different questionnaires have been applied taking both the citizens and the shopkeepers opinions on the subject. 80% of the citizens and 50% of the shopkeepers have approved the question on designing new pedestrian zones in the city. The need of pedestrian zones of the citizens has been appeared by this study.
