Öz
Kehanetlerin 15. ve 16. yüzyılda Alman kültüründe son derece etkinolduğunu ve güç bir hayat süren toplumun tekrar ümitlenmesine vesileoldukları bilinmektedir. Bu tarz kehanetler dönem dönem Papalar tarafındanyasaklansa da, fermanların çokluğundan, yasaklamalara uyulmadığıortaya çıkmaktadır. Türklerle ilgili astrolojik kehanetlerin fazlalığı isedikkat çekicidir ve içerik itibariyle benzerlikler göstermektedir. Bu doğrultuda15. ve 16. yüzyılın Almanya’sında Türklerle ilgili astrolojik kehanetleregenel bir bakış sunulacaktır. Bunun için öncelikle 15. yüzyılda astrolojikkehanetler ile tarihi olayları yorumlamaya çalışan Hermann Schedel, JosephGrünpeck, Johannes Trithemius, Johannes Lichtenberger ve Yukarı RenBölgesi Devrimcisi Oberrheinischer Revolutionär gibi kehanetlerde bulunmuşetkin isimlere yer verilecektir. Ardından 16. yüzyıla damgasınıvuran Martin Luther ve Philipp Melanchthon gibi teologların kehanet konusunabakışı irdelenecek, dönemin önemli kahinleri tanıtılacak ve kehanetlerihakkında bilgi verilecektir. Ayrıca 16. yüzyıla ait Türklerle ilgilikehanetlerin genel itibariyle ortak yönleri ve benzerlikleri tespit edilmeyeçalışılacaktır. Son olarak Aziz Methodius’un Türklerin Köln’de yok edileceğinedair kehaneti 1540 , Avusturyalı Michael von Aitzing’in 1591yılına ait Kehaneti ve Alman David Herlitz’in Türklere İlişkin Kehaneti 1597 detaylı olarak incelenecektir. Bunun için önce yazarlara ilişkinbilgiler verilecek, ardından kehanetler içerik itibariyle incelenecek ve Türklerleilgili kısımlar analiz edilecektir. Çalışmanın sonuç kısmında ise incelenenkehanetlerin değerlendirilmesi yer alacaktır.

Öz
It is widely agreed that the influence of prophecies of the 15th and 16th century inGerman culture were great and that they gave hope to the people leading a hard life.It has been revealed that despite the bans imposed by the Popes from time to time onphophecy making, they were not obeyed much. The number of astrologic propheciesabout the Turks are remarkably big and the similarities in their contents are evident.This study seeks to investigate the general characteristics of the astrologic propheciesabout the Turks in the 15th and 16th century German culture. Thus, influentialnames of the 15th century like Hermann Schedel, Joseph Grünpeck, JohannesTrithemius, Johannes Lichtenberger and Upper Rhine Region Revolutioner Oberrheinischer Revolutionär , all of whom tried to interpret the the historicalevents by astrologic prophecies, are mentioned in the study. Theologians like PhilippMelanchthon and Martin Luther who hold similar prophetic views, as well as otherprominent names of the 16th century in phophecy-making will then be discussed. Itis also seeks to explore the similar aspects of the prophecies in general about the Turksin the 16th century. Finally, the prophecy attributed to Saint Methodius for thedefeat of the Turks in Cologne 1540 , the one attributed to Austrian Michael vonAitzing 1591 and the prophecy made by German David Herlitz about the Turksare to be examined in details. For this, some background information about thesenames will be presented in advance and the prophecies will be searched thoroughly forthe parts that concern the Turks to be revealed. The evaluation of the phophecies to bestudied will be given in the conclusion.
