Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümü’nü bitiren, Marmara ve YeditepeÜniversitelerinde öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışan Tuğrul Tanyol1980’lerde Üç Çiçek, Poetika, Şiir Atı ve Sombahar gibi dergilerde yayımladığışiirleriyle edebiyat dünyasına girmiştir.İmge, duyduğumuz veya okuduğumuz bir söz yoluyla zihnimizde oluşangörüntü, dünyada gördüklerimizin zihnimizdeki yansımasıdır. TuğrulTanyol’un şiirleri Ahmed Hâşim, Yahya Kemal, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınarve Ahmet Muhip Dıranas’tan izler taşıyan imge dünyasıyla dikkati çeker.Tuğrul Tanyol, geçmiş şiir birikiminden faydalanırken özellikle 1920’li ve30’lu yıllarda gelişme gösteren modern şiir kanalına bağlanır.1980 Kuşağı Türk şiirinin öncü şairlerinden Tuğrul Tanyol aşk, yalnızlık,müzik ve zaman temalı şiirleriyle tanınmıştır. Tuğrul Tanyol’unşiirlerinde sevgiliye duyulan aşkın yakıcılığı, kırmızı renkteki unsurlarlaanlatılır. Hayatla ilgili sıkıntılar ise denize ait unsurlardan faydalanılaraksevgiliyle paylaşılır ve söz konusu şiirlerde başka bir mekâna ve zamanakaçma arzusu dikkati çeker.Tuğrul Tanyol zamanı akıp giden bir nehir şeklinde düşünür. Şiirlerindegelenek, müzik, resim gibi görsel ve işitsel öğelerin etkisiyle çeşitliimgelerden faydalanarak zamanı aşıp, sevgiliye ulaşmak ister.

Graduated from Bogazici University Sociology Department, working as a lecturer atthe University of Marmara and Yeditepe Tuğrul Tanyol came into the world ofliterature with poems which published in the 1980s such as Three Flowers, Poetics,The Horse of Poem and Sombahar in magazines.Image, a word we hear or read through the minds of the image, a reflection of ourminds, we have seen in the world. Tuğrul Tanyol’s poems takes note with world ofimage that is follewed from Ahmed Haşim, Yahya Kemal, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınarand Ahmet Muhip Dıranas. Tuğrul Tanyol is connected to channel of modern poetrywhich showing the development in the past few years, especially the 1920s and 30swhen he takes advantage of the accumulation of poetry.Tugrul Tanyol who is one of the 1980 generation Turkish poets; known with hispoems, in which he mentions the concepts of love, loneliness, music and time. In hispoems, the passion of love to the beloved, narrated with the facts about colour of red.The all troubles about life shared with the beloved; referring to the facts about sea.Burning of love which is felt for lover are expressed with red-coloured elements inTuğrul Tanyol’s poems. All the problems related to life are shared with lover bymaking use of the elements of the sea and the desire to escape to another place and timetakes note in these poems.Tuğrul Tanyol imagines time in the form of a river running throug. He wants toreach lover the time to go beyond taking advantage of a variety of images with the effectof audio-visual items such as tradition, music, pictures in his poems.
