MİMARİ TEMSİL ÜZERİNE YAPILMIŞ ÇALIŞMALARIN BİBLİYOMETRİK ANALİZ YÖNTEMİYLE İNCELENMESİ

Öz

Mimari temsil, mimarlığın kurucu bir parçasıdır. Mimari temsil, yalnızca mimari fikrin aktarımında kullanılan bir araç değil; aynı zamanda mimarlığın kültürel, teknolojik ve toplumsal boyutlarıyla ele alınabilen çok katmanlı bir olgudur. Bu nedenle, alana ilişkin akademik üretimin eğilimlerini ortaya koymak, gelecekteki araştırmalar için kritik önem taşımaktadır. Çalışma; Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında mimari temsil üzerine yayımlanmış uluslararası yayınları bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle inceleyerek, alandaki eğilimleri ve olası araştırma boşluklarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada bibliyometrik analizler Bibliometrix programı aracılığıyla yapılmış ve sırasıyla mimari temsil alanında yapılan yayınların yıllara göre dağılımı, yayınların ülkelere göre dağılımı, kaynakların zaman içerisindeki üretimi, trend konular, tematik harita ve eş birliktelik ağı analizlerine yer verilmiştir. Bulgularda mimari temsil çalışmalarında tasarım süreci, tasarım eğitimi, dijital teknolojiler ve kültürel miras olmak üzere dört ana başlığın öne çıktığı; mimari temsil ve mekân deneyimi arasındaki ilişkiye odaklanan çalışmalarda ise eksiklik olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışma, mimari temsille ilgili mevcut eğilimleri ve olası araştırma boşluklarını tespit ederek gelecekteki akademik araştırmalar için yönlendirici bir çerçeve sağlamaktadır.

A BIBLIOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF STUDIES ON ARCHITECTURAL REPRESENTATION

Öz

Architectural representation is a fundamental part of architecture. Architectural representation is not merely a tool used to convey architectural ideas; it is also a multi-layered phenomenon that can be approached in terms of the cultural, technological, and social dimensions of architecture. Therefore, revealing the trends in academic production in this field is of critical importance for future research. This study aims to identify trends and potential research gaps in the field by examining international publications on architectural representation in the Web of Science (WoS) database using bibliometric analysis methods. Bibliometric analyses in the study were performed using the Bibliometrix program and included the distribution of publications in the field of architectural representation by year, the distribution of publications by country, sources’ production over time, trend topics, thematic map, and co-occurrence network analysis. The findings reveal that four main topics stand out in architectural representation studies: the design process, design education, digital technologies, and cultural heritage. However, a lack of studies focusing on the relationship between architectural representation and spatial experience was identified. By identifying current trends and potential research gaps related to architectural representation, the study provides a guiding framework for future academic research.
