Bu
araştırma Velicer, Huckel ve Hansen (1989) tarafından geliştirilen ve Anderson,
Benjamin, Wood ve Bonacci (2006) tarafından güncellenen Şiddete İlişkin
Tutumlar Ölçeği’nin Türkçe versiyonunun geçerliğini ve güvenirliğini belirlemek
amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın
çalışma grubunu 2016-2017 akademik yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi’ne bağlı 6
fakültenin 40 bölümde öğrenim gören ve tabakalı rasgele örnekleme yöntemiyle
seçilen birinci ve ikinci sınıf toplam 516 lisans öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır.
Araştırma ölçek uyarlama çalışması olduğu için öncelikli olarak dil geçerliği
incelenmiştir. Dil geçerliği sağlandıktan sonra ölçeğin yapı geçerliği ve
güvenirlik analizleri yapılmıştır.
Ölçeğin yapı geçerliğini belirlemek için
öncelikle Açıklayıcı Faktör Analizi yapılmış ve KMO .94 ve Barlett küresellik
testi için ki-kare değeri ise 12760 (p< .001) olarak bulunmuştur. Açıklayıcı
Faktör Analizi öz değerleri 1’den büyük olan ve ölçeğin alt boyut sayısına göre
yapılmış, öz değerleri 1’den büyük sekiz faktör için toplam varyansın %
58.68’sini açıklarken, ölçeğin alt boyut sayısına göre toplam açıklanan varyans
% 51.5’ini açıklamaktadır. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini belirlemek için yapılan toplam
iç tutarlılık katsayısı (Cronbach's Alpha) .937 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Yapılan
analizler sonucunda Şiddete İlişkin Tutumlar Ölçeği’nin iç tutarlılığının
yüksek ve bu
ölçeğe dayalı olarak verilecek kararların isabetli ve güvenirilir olduğu
bulunmuştur.
